Lama
Lama is an iPad app for first grade. Children trace letters and numbers with the Apple Pencil or a finger, match words to pictures and read short stories. Parents unlock whatever has been covered at school – the child then keeps practising on their own.
The app itself is in German: it follows the primary school curriculum of Hesse, Germany.
Lama works without the internet, shows no ads, has no in-app purchases and collects no data.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get into the parents' area?
On the start screen, tap “Für Eltern” (for parents) at the bottom and solve the small multiplication task.
Why are some letters locked?
Lama only shows what has already been introduced. In the parents' area you unlock letters,
letter groups and numbers.
Where does my child's writing go?
Only onto this iPad. There is no backup outside the app; deleting the app also deletes the writing history.
